Electronic Transfer of Prescriptions
Pharmacy2U was one of three pilot consortia involved in the national NHS Electronic Transfer of Prescriptions (ETP) pilot
project. The other two pilots were being undertaken by
a collaboration between Boots and Schlumberger Sema, and Transcript (a division of
Lloyds Pharmacies).
Harlow Wood Consulting were commissioned to develop
the projects core process management components including an Internet based Patient
Interface, an Intranet based Admin and Management Reporting component, and a messaging
system to integrate these components with their Eclipse
dispensing system and UNIX based 3Ex billing and dispatch
management system.
Pharmacy2U was the most successful of the three pilot
projects with over 60 GP surgeries and thousands of
patients signed up to the
scheme. The success of this project resulted in Harlow Wood Consulting being
awarded preferred supplier status for Pharmacy2U's
software development needs.
Since the pilot Harlow Wood Consulting has continued to help
Pharmacy2U to develop their Prescription Management System and is currently helping to
integrate their systems with the NHS National Programme for Information Technology
(NPfIT). "Harlow Wood
Consulting have worked with us to deliver highly
functional, robust and flexible software solutions that
have delivered proven value for our company and its
customers. We would have no hesitation in recommending
them for any future work."
